Increasing body awareness positively affects the central nervous system as well as all other systems in the body. Mindfully observing the breath is a way to increase your body awareness. Increased body awareness will also induce feelings of well-being into the body and is very healing. Practicing mind awareness is the practice of observing the thoughts and allowing thoughts to be there but not dominate and determine your state of well-being. For example, if you are experiencing a lot of fear based thoughts that create anxiety, this practice will start to lessen the the charge of those thoughts and transform your relationship to thoughts and the way you respond to situations in your life.
